DAY 01 International Airport – Managua
Reception at the airport. Transfer to the hotel in Managua
DAY 02 Managua – Cerro Negro – León
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cerro Negro, the youngest volcano in Nicaragua. If you are an adventurous person that is looking for something different, Sandboarding at Cerro Negro volcano is a great opportunity for you. First, we hike up the volcano (you carry your board). Once on top you will enjoy a great view of the volcanic chain and nearby growing fields. Then we’ll provide you with protective equipment and do a small demonstration on Sandboarding. Going down is a lot easier, you can do it sitting down or standing up on your board. Transfer to Leon.
DAY 03 Leon – Masaya – Granada
Breakfast at the hotel. Early transfer to Granada. On our way, we’ll visit Masaya Volcano National Park, where we can go near the edge of an active crater by vehicle on a paved road. Arrival to Granada, the oldest city in the western hemisphere of the Americas, founded in 1524.
DAY 04 Granada – Mombacho – Granada
Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll visit Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve. At its highest point Mombacho Volcano measures over 1,300 meters, creating a unique microclimate for the region with a thick cloud covered forest. We will drive from the savanna dry region, through coffee farms and into the cloud forest humid conditions. Arriving at the top, we’ll take the 2.5 Km trail. Along this path we will discover an unusual collection of orchids, ferns, butterflies, birds, and, when the weather’s right, we will enjoy fantastic views of Granada and the surrounding countryside. Then we are going to experience the canopy tour, 2 kilometers with 17 platforms, 11 lines and 3 suspension bridges. Return to Granada.
DAY 05 Granada – Islets – Granada
Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll start the day with a boat tour of Granada’s famous Isletas, an archipelago formed by an ancient volcanic explosion, just off the shore of Lake Nicaragua. We’ll go back to Granada to continue with our tour. We’ll visit the museum at San Francisco Convent, with its vast exposition of pre-Columbian statues and pottery. You will also have the chance to enjoy a great panoramic view of the city from the bell tower of La Merced Church
DAY 06 Granada – San Juan del Sur
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to San Juan del Sur, one of the most beautiful beaches of Nicaragua. Surrounded by two mountains, the bay of San Juan del Sur is home to one of the most visited beach towns in Nicaragua. Its urban center has a complete and diversified tourist offer.
DAY 07 San Juan del Sur – Airport
Transfer to Managua’s International Airport according to your flight’s departure time.
