La Flor Beach Wildlife Refuge
La Flor Beach is located 22 kilometers from San Juan del Sur and it's one of the few places in the world where thousands of Olive Ridley turtles arrive to lay their eggs.
The massive arrivals take place between July and January, influenced by the lunar phases. About 50 days after the arrivals, the eggs hatch and thousands of baby turtles come out of the sand and begin their journey into the ocean.
One-day Tour
The tour begins in San Juan del Sur in the afternoon to increase the chances to see the arrivals.
