Turtles Sanctuary
Nicaragua is home to major nesting beaches for three species of turtles, including the La Flor Wildlife Refuge, one of the few beaches in the world where thousands of olive ridley turtles nest at one time.
On this tour you will discover the sunny beaches of El Coco and La Flor, a real sanctuary of turtles. During the months of July and January, thousands of turtles come to La Flor to lay their eggs. It’s definitely an unforgettable experience.
Itinerary
Day 01 Airport – Managua
Guests are met by our guide in Managua airport for their transfer and help to check in at the Hotel.
Day 02 Managua – Masaya – Granada
Departure to Granada, on the way, we'll pass to The National Park Masaya Volcano, them we'll visit the Masaya Handicraft Market. We continue to Granada.
Day 03 Granada
Visit the Natural Reserve Mombacho Volcano; later visit the village of Catarina. Later Return Granada City tour and a boat trip in Granada’s Islets.
Day 04 Granada – Ometepe Island
Transfer to Ometepe, cultural tour of the Altagracia villages.
Day 05 Ometepe Island
In the morning Climbing in the Madera’s Volcano cloud forest with mountain guide or cultural tour of the island. In the afternoon time to relax on the beach.
Day 06 Ometepe Island – El Coco Beach
Visit to Charco Verde Lagoon. Transfer to the dock at Moyogalpa for ferry to the mainland. Today we reach El Coco beach, one of the most beautiful Pacific beach of Nicaragua. At night visit to La Flor Wildlife Refuge where you will appreciate thousand arrive of the Paslama turtle, they put their eggs into the sand. This event is between July and January.
Day 07 El Coco Beach, Sanctuary of the Turtles

Day 08 El Coco Beach –Managua Airport
According your departure time, transfers to the Airport for take your flight to home. End our services.
