Masaya & Granada
Masaya, known as the city of flowers and cradle of nicaraguan folklore, offers its visitors the experience of reaching the edge of an active volcano and appreciate the beauty of the crafts made by local artisans. The colonial city of Granada, built in 1524, is the oldest city of the continent.
One Day Tour
First we will visit Masaya Volcano National Park, which has an area of 54 km² that includes two volcanoes and five craters. Here we can reach the top of one volcano by vehicle in a paved road and go near the edge of an active crater.At the Visitor's Center you can learn more about the history and caractheristics of the volcano.
We will continue to the Handicraft Market where you can find great souvenirs and beautiful crafts like wood crafts, ceramics, embroidery, hammocks, clothes and jewelry. You may also try nicaraguan food and traditional sweets.
But the journey doesn't end there. We will take you to the amazing colonial city of Granada. Here you can observe the beautiful architecture and learn more about our history and culture at the San Francisco Convent Museum and Casa de los Tres Mundos.
