Granada & Leon
We begin our journey through time in the colonial city of Granada built on the shores of Lake Nicaragua in 1524 which makes it the oldest cities of the continent.
On the third day we’ll go to the colonial city of which holds 16 colonial temples including the majestic Cathedral of Leon recognized as one of the most beautiful temples on the continent and the biggest one in Central America.
Itinerary
Day 01: Entry Transfer Managua –Granada
Reception by our representative at Managua’s International Airport. Transfer to the selected hotel in Granada. During the city tour we will visit Casa de los Leones and Museum San Francisco Convent, which holds an important collection of pre-Columbian statues and ceramic crafts. We will also enjoy the amazing landscape of Granada’s islets on a relaxing boat trip. The 365 islets of different sizes were created by a massive explosion of Mombacho Volcano located on the shores of the lake.
Day 02: Free Day
Breakfast at the hotel. Free Day for personal activities
Day 03: Transfer Granada – León
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Leon. Lodging at the selected hotel and City Tour. The city of Leon holds 16 colonial temples including the majestic Cathedral of Leon recognized as one of the most beautiful temples on the continent and the biggest one in Central America. During our trip we’ll enjoy the views of Lake Xolotlan and the Maribios volcanic range. We will also visit the ruins of Leon Viejo (Old Leon), declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Day 04: Transfer Leon- Managua’s Airport
Breakfast at the hotel. According to your flight’s departure we will transfer you to Managua’s International airport.
