Cerro Negro Volcano
Climbing up to the top of the Cerro Negro volcano is an impressive experience. This volcano, the youngest of the Western Hemisphere and one of the smallest volcanoes in Nicaragua, is totally covered with black sand and rocks. Standing on top of this volcano, you will have a view over a great part of the Maribios volcanic chain.
One-day Tour
The volcanic material will give you the opportunity to live a new experience with Sandboarding. Once on top we will provide you with protective equipment and do a small demonstration.
Going down is a lot easier, and fun! It can take thirty minutes or less-- it depends on your courage and technique.
For your maximum enjoyment, we always recommend starting as early as possible, in order to avoid the intense heat common after 10AM.
